COVID-19 Christmas Bubble

UPDATE:

It was announced on Saturday 19th of December that the Christmas bubbles are only allowed to take place on Christmas day itself NOT the 5 day period that was previously agreed. If you are in a Tier 4 area you are not allowed to form a Christmas bubble.

We understand that as property owners this may mean that stays that had been booked for this period may now have to be moved or cancelled. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to assist with this.

For the rules on travel specific to each tier take a look at our article: https://help.scrumpy.co.uk/article/194-covid-19-tiers-december-2020.

**The below advice was up to date prior to Saturday 19th December but is no longer accurate**

The Government has announced that between the 23rd and 27th of December people can form a Christmas bubble of up to 3 households. If someone is in your Christmas bubble you will be allowed to stay overnight in holiday accommodation together. This means Christmas stays can go ahead!

For full information on Christmas bubbles take a look at the Gov website: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/making-a-christmas-bubble-with-friends-and-family/making-a-christmas-bubble-with-friends-and-family

The Government has stated that between 23rd and 27th December, you may travel between tiers and other nations of the UK if necessary to meet with other households in your Christmas bubble or return home. You can stay in private rented accommodation with members of your household or your Christmas bubble.

We would advise if you still have availability for this period that you create a specific 4 Night Stay for this. For information on how to create this take a look at our help article: https://help.scrumpy.co.uk/article/26-managing-pricing-with-seasons. If you would like assistance setting this up then please get in touch, we would be more than happy to help.

For the remainder of December, we would advise following the advice specific to your region. Here is a link to our help article on the latest tiers in England: https://help.scrumpy.co.uk/article/194-covid-19-tiers-december-2020.

This article is primarily focussed on England, if you plan to travel to Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland, you should read guidance from Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland before you travel.
