COVID-19 Roadmap 2021

This article is accurate as on 23rd February 2021 and is specific to COVID-19 restrictions in England.

The Government has published the 'COVID-19 response - Spring 2021' setting out the roadmap for easing the current lockdown restrictions in England. The roadmap consists of 4 stages which will only take effect based on a review of the data at the time. We have tried to simplify what each of the four stages mean for property owners.

Step 1

8th March: No household mixing indoors, stay at home. Holiday properties to remain closed

29th March: No household mixing indoors. Holiday properties to remain closed.

Step 2

No earlier than 12th April, at least 5 weeks after Step 1

No household mixing indoors.

Holiday properties can open but for households only.

"Overnight stays away from home in this country will be permitted and self-contained accommodation - those that do not require shared use of bathing, entry/exit, catering or sleeping facilities - can also reopen, though must only be used by members of the  same household."

Step 3

No earlier than 17th May, at least 5 weeks after Step 2
Rule of six or 2 households meeting indoors (subject to review).
All holiday accommodation can open but for groups of 6 or 2 households.

Step 4

No earlier than 21st June, at least 5 weeks after Step 3
No legal limits on social contact.
All holiday accommodation can open with no restrictions in place.

All of the above is subject to review but we have high hopes for a much brighter summer. Please let us know if there is anything we can do at all to help you manage you availability and bookings for the upcoming months.
Once again we would like to thank you for your continued support.
