Latest COVID advice for property owners (MAY 2021)
With restrictions continuing to ease across the UK we thought we'd gather the latest advice for property owners in terms of restrictions on stays in self catering accommodation. This advice is accurate as of 17th May 2021, please visit the specific Government website for your location for further advice.
England
Following the Roadmap, from 17th of May all holiday accommodation in England can open but only for groups of 6 people or 2 households following the rules of gatherings.
Scotland
From 17th May all of Scotland is in Level 3 which means you can meet in groups of up to 6 from 2 households.
You can travel anywhere in Scotland and can stay in holiday accommodation - but you should not stay in someone else's house.
If you live in Scotland you can travel to England, Wales, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man or the Channel Islands - before you travel you must check the travel rules in those countries.
Wales
All of Wales is currently in Alert Level 3
As of the 3rd of May, holiday accommodation operators in Wales can accept bookings for stays in self-contained accommodation from those who have formed an extended household in accordance with the Welsh coronavirus Regulations.
Customers from outside Wales wishing to book holidays must also comply with the law as it applies to Wales, as well as any restrictions on travelling that apply in the country they come from. Tourism and hospitality businesses in Wales must also take all reasonable measures to minimise the risk of exposure
