Email Verification

Amazon SES

Amazon SES is a scalable email service that enables sending mail from an application and it's utilised by your SCRUMPY website to send email notifications from the platform. This is a great way to make the emails appear to be addressed from your website; these emails include those received by Guests, Housekeepers, Property Owners, and Users of the site. To find out more about automated emails that are automatically sent to the booker, check out our Automate Email List article.

Email Verification

When your website is initially set up, it's important that your email address is verified against your website and the Amazon SES Server. You'll be asked to open an email addressed from no-reply-aws@amazon.com. The process only takes a moment but will ensure the best chances of email deliverability and that you receive notifications from your site.

  • This is what the email will look like in your inbox:

  • The content of the email should appear as follows, and you will need to click on the link to successfully verify your email:

  • Finally, when you follow the link, you should receive a success message, that should look like the one below:

Example

Once your email has been verified, automated emails will appear to be sent from your email address. Here is an example of this, when a general enquiry is submitted.
