Charging for Extra Guests

You have the option to charge for additional guests on top of your standard pricing. You'll first need to make sure that your Maximum Occupancy exceeds your Base Occupancy to set how many Extra Guests you accept. Then once this has been done, you have three ways to charge for Extra Guests:

Cost Per Extra Guest on a Booking

When creating a Booking or Booking Offer via your website's Dashboard, you have the option to enter a Cost Per Extra Guest. You can find this option under the Details tab.

If you put a value into the Cost Per Extra Guest field, then the Lead Booker will be charged that amount for each additional guest they add above the Base Occupancy. They can do this via the Guests section of the "My Booking" Portal.

A small banner will appear when a Booking meets the threshold of additional guests and prompt the Lead Booker that  "You have added X guests above the base occupancy which incurs a fee of £X".

Please be aware that if a Booking has already paid for an Extra Guest and then it is removed, that it's possible for them to have overpaid - if this is the case, a banner will appear at the top of the Booking's overview, and also be visible within the "Overpaid" Bookings list

Cost per Extra Guest via Stay Types

You can also charge for Additional Guests from your Calendar. Simply navigate to Properties > Select a Property > Prices & Availability > Stay Types, where you can edit your existing Stay Types or create new one with a Cost per Extra Guest.

Entering a Cost per Extra Guest allows you to charge differently for different times of the year, or to your standard Cost per Extra Guest recorded against the Property

Cost per Extra Guest for a Property

If you would like to set a default Cost per Extra Guest, you can enable this against the Property itself and won't require you to edit each Booking or your Pricing as per the above methods.

Navigate to Properties > Select a Property > Edit > Configuration > Cost per Extra Guest

Remember, you can only set a Cost per Extra Guest if you Maximum Occupancy is set larger than your Base Occupancy.
