URL Redirects

The URL redirect feature within SCRUMPY allows you to redirect traffic from your old website to your new website. For a website that previously had a lot of traffic and good search engine results this is a very useful tool for you to use.

How to Redirect a Web Page

Navigate to Site Settings - once selected you will see URL Redirects as displayed below:

Select 'URL Redirects' and you will see an 'Add URL Redirects' situated within the top right of your screen. Once you have clicked this you will see that you have two placeholders one for the old path and one for the new as displayed below:

The old path is the previous URL. For example demo.scrumpy.co.uk/our-property is currently a redundant link as it belonged to the old website, you want to add a URL redirect so when a user lands on that link to go to the new property page.

Within the old path you will need to paste in the old URL and within the new path you will need to type in the URL you want the old one to 301 redirect to - you will only need to type in the content after the Domain Name please see the screenshot below:

Once you have added your URL redirect click the 'Create URL Redirect' button - anyone landing on the old URL will be redirected to the new path you have entered.
