Creating a button

You can add buttons within email Broadcasts, Custom Emails, and Content areas across your website. For example, you may want to add a Book Now button on your homepage or you may have a content page that you would like to link to another page on your website.

Tip: To encouragate guests to keep navigating your website, you should always have a button at the bottom of every page, so you can usher your reader along to where you want them to go next.

To create a button you first will need to add a link. To do this add the text you would like to be displayed on the button to your content area. Highlight this text and click the chain icon in the tool bar. Within here you can select the page on the website you would like to link to, or if it isn't within the list enter the URL by selecting custom URL. Once you have done this click 'Save'

Your text will now be a link. To make this link into a button highlight the text and click the drop down that says styling and select Primary Button & Secondary Button from the toolbar. Once you have done this don't forget to click update below the content area.

On the front end, your button will look similar to the 'Book Your Stay' in the image below.

If you would rather add a link in the main menu at the top of the page instead of a button see our article on menu management: https://help.scrumpy.co.uk/article/140-menu-management
